Molina and the Leopards are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Molina Jaguars will head out on the road to square off against the Adamson Leopards at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, Molina was beaten by the Longhorns 76-30. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Molina in their matchups with the Longhorns: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the defeat, Molina had strong showings from Theayah Guidry, who scored 13 points, and Keirra Hunter, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Adamson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Hillcrest on the road and fell 61-10. Adamson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-7.
Molina has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Adamson, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.
Everything came up roses for Molina against the Leopards in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 48-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Molina since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
