The Jordan Beetdiggers will head out on the road to take on the Brighton Bengals at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Jordan got the win against Olympus by a conclusive 12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Beetdiggers have posted against the Titans since May 25, 2018.
KADE CARTER spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jordan got a massive performance out of CJ SUMNER, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four hits gave SUMNER a new career-high. Another player making a difference was JOSEPH PEAK, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Jordan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Brighton waltzed into their game on Wednesday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Panthers a 14-0 shutout. Give the Bengals' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.
Brighton also got a great performance from Miles Layton as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on JC Garza, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and five RBI. Easton Gustafson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Jordan is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Brighton, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Jordan hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Brighton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Jordan might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Brighton when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Beetdiggers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
