After losing to Great Crossing the last time they met, Beechwood decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tigers blew past the Warhawks 14-4 on Saturday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by six runs or more this season.

Beechwood pushed their record up to 21-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Great Crossing, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 16-5 record.

Beechwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-0 win against Harrison County on the 10th. As for Great Crossing, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Scott County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Warhawks surely won't give up without a fight.
