Barrie will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Avalon Black Knights at 4:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Barrie's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in November of 2023 after their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Yeshiva at home and fell 46-11.
Meanwhile, Avalon's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of DC International. While losing is never fun, Avalon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 222nd in Maryland, while DC International is ranked 28th in District of Columbia).
Barrie bumped their record down to 0-1 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Avalon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
