Basketball Recap: Charlotte Country Day School Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

If Charlotte Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Charlotte Country Day School, they should've done a better job of containing Olive Bigham. The Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Charlotte Christian Knights 66-18 thanks in part to Bigham, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Vanderhave, who posted ten points and six steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Despite the loss, Charlotte Christian still got an impressive performance from Abigail Bellis, who put up six points.

Charlotte Country Day School moved to 18-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Charlotte Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-17 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Charlotte Country Day School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-45 loss against Charlotte Latin on the 4th. Charlotte Christian has also already played their next match, a 56-26 defeat against Covenant Day on the 6th.
