PORTERVILLE, Calif. - After two lead changes,
Porterville (Calif.) took the lead for good when
Dennis Chester threw a touchdown to
Lalo Nevarez with under a minute left in the second quarter and held on to defeat
Monache (Porterville, Calif.) 42-35 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Chester to Nevarez in the second quarter, the Panthers led 28-21 at the half.
Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at seven entering the fourth.
The win brought Porterville's winning streak to three games.
