Even though the Jersey Shore Bulldogs scored an imposing 68 points on Thursday, the Selinsgrove Seals still came out on top. Selinsgrove walked away with a 76-68 win over Jersey Shore. Given Selinsgrove's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Jersey Shore is ranked 604th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Selinsgrove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ries Naugle, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Xaivier Jackson, who scored 18 points.
Selinsgrove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Jersey Shore, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Selinsgrove will head out on the road to take on Danville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jersey Shore, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-37 defeat vs. Troy on the 10th.
