Mourning scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Goleman by a score of 75-63. The win was a breath of fresh air for Mourning as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mourning to victory, but perhaps none more so than Junior Decarde, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Decarde scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alan Gomez, who scored 18 points.
Hialeah suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 93-70 defeat at the hands of Palmetto. While losing is never fun, Hialeah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while Palmetto is ranked 117th).
Mourning's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Hialeah, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-7.
