Awaken Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over the Beaver Dam Diamondback.
Ethan Roth was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Awaken Christian let Antonio Rubeis and Deven West run wild. Rubeis went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while West scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Lucas Wulfenstein was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Awaken Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beaver Dam only posted a batting average of .067.
Awaken Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Beaver Dam, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Awaken Christian will face off against Needles at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Beaver Dam will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Beatty at 1:00 p.m. on March 28th.
