This season hasn't been kind to the Wagener-Salley War Eagles, who are still winless after their seventh game. They were beaten by Calhoun County 93-41 on Friday. Wagener-Salley has not had much luck with Calhoun County recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Calhoun County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Wallace out in front who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wallace has scored all season. Aaron Fredrick was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Wagener-Salley's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Calhoun County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Wagener-Salley and Barnwell will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Calhoun County will be home for the holidays to greet Hemingway at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Hemingway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
