Brody Wright posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Wright's strong effort led Starkville over Tupelo and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but likely not for long.
