Lakeland Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Stephens, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stephens has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ralph Scott, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Frostproof lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sevastian Rosado. Despite the final result, he scored 37 points along with four steals. That was a full 53.6% of Frostproof's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Turral Berry was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Frostproof struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Lakeland Christian pushed their record up to 10-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
