Last Friday, Cold Springs had to suffer through a rough 64-14 loss at the hands of Aliceville. Cold Springs was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Meanwhile, Greene County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 36-14 to Sumter Central, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Even though the team lost, they still came through with several impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ronald Wilder jr., who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Cold Springs has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Greene County, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-5.
Cold Springs didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Greene County in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, but they still walked away with a 30-26 victory.
