The biggest upset of the week belonged to San Dimas, who defeated 257th ranked Northview, 41-7. Joesph Mayorga ran for 225 yards during the win.
The Saints moved up to 308 from 403 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Valle Vista. San Dimas was able to move up by defeating the Vikings 41-7.
Pomona's dynamic duo of Manny Lua and Shawn Wilson proved to be unstoppable against Covina, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lua threw for 223 yards and 4 touchdowns and Wilson had 178 yards receiving. Desmond Bobo helped Pomona's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 31 yards.
Mayorga was a beast in the backfield as Bill Zernickow's team defeated Northview.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Baldwin Park's Michael Moran and Jayson Miller have proven to be a lethal combination. Moran has thrown for 1,192 yards this season, while Miller, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 21 catches for 463 yards. The Saints' Mayorga leads the league in rushing yards with 428.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Nogales takes on the Braves. At the moment, the Nobles are in fourth, while Baldwin Park is in second.
Nogales was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in Valle Vista. Sebastian Hernandez's team defeated Wilson 19-6 earlier in the week.
