The Gaither Cowboys had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 58-47 win over Chamberlain. For Gaither, this counts as revenge for the 72-64 loss Chamberlain walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Rico Kindred was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points. Another player making a difference was Marc Fransberg, who scored eight points.
Gaither is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Chamberlain, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.
Gaither will head out on the road to square off against Sumner at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chamberlain, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Riverview at 8:00 p.m. Riverview is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
