Aragon and Hillsdale are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Dons will venture away from home to face off against the Fighting Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aragon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Aragon took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let King's Academy get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Dons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Aragon got a great performance from Makayla Hafoka as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave Hafoka a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Taylor Workman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Farrigan, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Aragon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Hillsdale won against San Mateo on Thursday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Fighting Knights beat University Prep by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fighting Knights.
Taylor O'Mahony was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Zoey Halaby also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Aragon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-11. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hillsdale, their record is now 11-6-1.
Aragon might still be hurting after the 12-1 defeat they got from Hillsdale in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Dons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
