Marcos Orozco of Farson-Eden ran for the longest rushing play in 6-Man South (6 Man) this season against HEM last week. Orozco scampered for 65 yards on the play and finished with 78 on the day as his team lost to the Miners.
Little Snake River extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Midwest, 40-39. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Rattlers.
HEM's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Rylie Richardson threw for 194 and six touchdowns and Jeremy Manning had 115 yards receiving. On the ground R.J Seaman chipped in 289 yards. Josiah Griffith helped HEM's passing attack out by catching eight balls for 92 yards.
Tucker Even made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Oilers fell to Little Snake River. The 5-foot-7 junior grabbed two sacks.
5-foot-10 quarterback Richardson of Thomas Waring's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 876. He has also thrown 15 touchdowns. On the ground, Mike Bates' team's Manuel Quinteros has rushed for 1137 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Conner Lee. The Little Snake River star has 29 catches for 511 yards.
The marquee game in 6-Man South (6 Man) this week will be the clash between Farson-Eden and the Rattlers. The Pronghorns enters the contest ranked 10th in the state, while Little Snake River ranks second.
The Rattlers and Midwest played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with the Rattlers eventually emerging with a 40-39 victory. Quinteros ran for 199 yards and caught five passes for 46 yards in the win.
