Holden Stacey was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off one hit. The dominant performance gave him a new career-low in earned runs. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Meanwhile, Leroy made easy work of Washington County on Tuesday and carried off a 9-3 victory. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Leroy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Excel, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
