The Gunn Titans fell victim to the Saratoga Falcons''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. Their tough 24-0 loss to the Falcons might stick with them for a while. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Gunn struggled afterwards.
This is the second loss in a row for Gunn and nudges their season record down to 3-6. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 3-6 Saratoga (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 44.4% over those games). As for Saratoga, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gunn will square off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saratoga, they will head out on the road to face off against Lynbrook at 7:00 p.m. on November 4th. Lynbrook comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
