The Omaha South Packers struggled with assists on Friday (the Bryan Bears had 1100% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Omaha South was dealt a 89-50 loss at the hands of Bryan. Omaha South was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-26.
When it comes to explaining why Omaha South lost, one person who can't be blamed is Keegan Kimble. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trayton Marshall, who scored 6 points.
Leading Bryan to victory were Thomas Alsup and A'mare Bynum. Alsup scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists, while Bynum dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. The match was Bynum's fourth in a row with at least ten points. DaShawn Barfield was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Omaha South and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Bryan, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Omaha South will head out on the road to face off against Buena Vista at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bryan, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Omaha Central at 7:15 p.m. on December 15th.
