North Carroll extended the longest winning streak in Monocacy Valley - Chesapeake this week by beating Liberty, 28-27. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Panthers.
Westminster was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. Earlier in the week, the Owls triumphed over Winters Mill 35-0.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when North Carroll takes on Key. At the moment, Matt Martello's team is in first, while the Eagles are in sixth.
The Falcons made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,255 from 10,257. The improvement was largely due to a 35-0 victory over Winters Mill last week.
