Box Elder is 9-1 against Bonneville since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Box Elder Bees will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bonneville Lakers at 5:15 p.m. Hopefully Box Elder is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bonneville in Utah (Box Elder is ranked 34th, while Bonneville is ranked 93rd).
Last Friday, Box Elder didn't have too much trouble with Northridge on the road as they won 52-38.
Madi Thurgood continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with three blocks and two steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydence Barber, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Bonneville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Bountiful 81-29. Bonneville has struggled against Bountiful recently, as their contest on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Box Elder's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Bonneville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Box Elder was able to grind out a solid victory over Bonneville when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 52-42. Does Box Elder have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bonneville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
