The Carle Place Frogs had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lynbrook on Saturday.
Carle Place's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caitlin Leary, who scored 26 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Gomes, who scored 8 points along with 13 rebounds and 3 steals.
Carle Place's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Lynbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Carle Place will be playing at home against Garden City at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lynbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
