The Hale Ray Noises lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They took a serious blow against Morgan, falling 58-23. Hale Ray was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-7.
Morgan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Johnson, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Johnson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Sadie Passante was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six steals.
Hale Ray has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Morgan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Hale Ray will head out on the road to challenge Old Saybrook at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morgan, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Cromwell at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Cromwell is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
