Landin Hoeppner Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Leo's Landin Hoeppner, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hoeppner made a tackle. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 69 yards.
Leo's win bumped their record up to 7-2. Hoeppner and Leo will head out to face off against DeKalb at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Alex Phillips Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, East Noble got the W thanks in part to Alex Phillips playing the best football he has all season. Phillips rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 79-yard run.
The victory (which was East Noble's seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1. Phillips' next contest is against Fort Wayne South Side on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Rylee Biddle Has Career Rushing Day
East Noble was led to victory by Rylee Biddle, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Biddle threw for 164 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 47 yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
On the season, Biddle has thrown 15 touchdowns while averaging 136.1 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 4.33 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 13.56 rushing yards.

Gavin Smith was a major factor in Columbia City's win over Norwell on Friday. Smith turned in nothing short of a gem, making two total tackles.
The victory made it two in a row for Columbia City and bumps their season record up to 8-1. Smith will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger on Friday.

East Noble Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Dylan Krehl
East Noble picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Dylan Krehl. Bellmont had no answer to Krehl as he rushed for 34 yards.
This year, Krehl has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 101.1 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 59.89 rushing yards per game.
