The John Paul II Cardinals came up short against the Atlas HomeSchool Rattlers on Friday and fell  34-21. The Cardinals were down  34-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

 Despite the loss, John Paul II still got an impressive performance from   Cade Lynch, who threw for 226 yards and a pair of  touchdowns, and also rushed for 64 yards. A healthy portion of  Lynch's aerial production (129 yards to be exact)  went to  Braden Harbour.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Atlas HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Alex Davis, who rushed for 178 yards on only 15 carries. That's the most  rushing yards  Davis has posted since back in October of 2024.  Christopher Stewart was another key player, rushing for 96 yards and one  TD on only 13 carries.
This is the second loss in a row for John Paul II and  nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Atlas HomeSchool, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-6.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Paul II will welcome Dallas HSAA  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Atlas HomeSchool, they will take on Bishop Dunne at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Rattlers will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.25  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
