Volleyball Recap: West Chicago's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

West Chicago came into Tuesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Fenton Bison on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

While West Chicago won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Taylor Frake and Bella Chandler, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Grace Kuehn and her 13 assists. Gabbie Newell controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

West Chicago's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Fenton, they dropped their record down to 7-16 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

West Chicago wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Geneva on the 25th. As for Fenton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Leyden on the 25th.
