There's no place like home for the Harvest Prep Academy Eagle, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 50-31 victory over A+ Charter School on Monday. Harvest Prep Academy pushed the score to 40-20 by the end of the third, a deficit A+ Charter School cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for Leo Cordova, who scored 28 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Harvest Prep Academy's points. Another player making a difference was KJ Legette, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
Harvest Prep Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for A+ Charter School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Harvest Prep Academy will head out on the road to take on Ajo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ajo presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Harvest Prep Academy in Arizona (Ajo is ranked 121st, while Harvest Prep Academy is ranked 279th). As for A+ Charter School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gila Bend at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
