It was a good run, but the Edgewood Mustangs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to Terre Haute North Vigo 51-45. While losing is never fun, Edgewood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while Terre Haute North Vigo is ranked 50th).
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caden Jones, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Carl Norris, who scored 11 points.
Edgewood struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Terre Haute North Vigo pulled down 11 offensive rebounds.
Terre Haute North Vigo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kavish Reddy out in front who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. The match was Reddy's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Fennell, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Edgewood now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
