Canyon Springs got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenijae Cherry out in front who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Saniya Bond, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Sports Leadership & Management's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Canyon Springs, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Sports Leadership & Management will take on Durango at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Canyon Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Lutheran at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Faith Lutheran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Saturday.
