Liberty Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past St. Pius X 63-0. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on four straight.

Liberty Christian can attribute much of their success to Correll Buckhalter, who rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and Quinn Murphy, who threw for 207 yards and four TDs. The Warriors are 7-1 when Buckhalter posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
Liberty Christian's run defense was locked in: St. Pius X could only muster -0.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Will Ellis for the heroic effort on defense: he. Liberty Christian didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.7.

Meanwhile, Prestonwood Christian's offense rose to the challenge against an Eagles defense that boasted an average of only 14.4 points allowed last Friday. The Lions claimed a resounding 45-17 victory over St. Thomas Catholic. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-10.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Luke Glass and Pierce Jacobson. Glass had a great game and threw for 193 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. Meanwhile, Jacobson was balling out in the loss, rushing for 61 yards and one score on only eight carries, while also throwing for 158 yards and one TD.
Prestonwood Christian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Liberty Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
The upcoming contest will be a clash of competing strengths. Liberty Christian has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 169 rushing yards a game. Meanwhile, Prestonwood Christian has preferred to attack from the air: they average 274.2 passing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
