The Germantown Red Devils won the last time they faced the Southwind Jaguars, and things went their way on Friday too. Germantown had just enough and edged Southwind out 46-43.
Despite the loss, Southwind still got an impressive performance from Tashawn Hubbard, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Hubbard hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari'elle Stinson, who scored ten points.
The victory got Germantown back to even at 8-8. As for Southwind, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Germantown will be playing in front of their home fans against Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arlington is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Southwind, they will head out on the road to face off against Bolton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Bolton and four for Southwind.
