Lowell Catholic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Meredith Morey, who scored two points along with 17 rebounds and two steals. Rylie Hogan was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lowell Catholic struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Lowell Catholic's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.5 points per game. As for Arlington Catholic, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Lowell Catholic will head out on the road to square off against Collegiate Charter School of Lowell at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
