The Lambert Longhorns will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Peachtree Ridge Lions at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Lambert is ranked 45th, while Peachtree Ridge is ranked 39th).
Last Friday, Lambert was the victim of a tough 37-16 loss at the hands of Milton. Lambert has struggled against Milton recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Peachtree Ridge stacked a seventh blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Duluth, posting a 42-7 win at home. Peachtree Ridge pushed the score to 42-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Duluth cut but never quite recovered from.
Darnell Kelly got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 179 yards and a touchdown. Sedric Addison was another key contributor, rushing for 78 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Lambert's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Peachtree Ridge, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1.
