The Batesville Bulldogs lost against the Greensburg Pirates back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Batesville fell 59-46 to Greensburg. Batesville has struggled against Greensburg recently, as their match on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Claire Saner, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saner has scored all season. Alyson Peters was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Batesville's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Greensburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Batesville will be playing at home against South Decatur at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Decatur focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Saturday. As for Greensburg, they will head out on the road to take on New Palestine at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. New Palestine will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
