After only ten points in their last match, The Tyler Legacy Raiders made sure to put some points up on the board against the Royse City Bulldogs on Friday. Tyler Legacy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 34-31 victory over Royse City. That's two games straight that Tyler Legacy has won by exactly three points.
Kalan Greenhouse was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 104 yards and four touchdowns. Tyler Legacy also got a significant boost from Luke Wolf, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 94 yards.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jace Oliver, who rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 83 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Tyreke Cockroft, who rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown.
Tyler Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season. As for Royse City, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5.
Tyler Legacy will take on North Forney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Royse City, they will head out on the road to face off against Rockwall-Heath at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockwall-Heath presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Royse City in Texas (Rockwall-Heath is ranked 53rd, while Royse City is ranked 242nd).
