On Friday Cross Creek take on Westside at CROSS CREEK STADIUM at 7:30 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.
It was all tied up at halftime, but Cross Creek weren't quite Liberty County's equal in the second half when they met last Monday. Cross Creek fell to Liberty County 7-21. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Cross Creek.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Westside ultimately got the result it was hoping for. They got past Josey with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 38-32. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Westside's flat performance the contest before.
Westside's win lifted them to 1-3 while Cross Creek's loss dropped them down to 2-3. We'll see if Westside's success rolls on or if Cross Creek are able to steal their positive momentum.
