Basketball Recap: Tipton Piles Up the Points Against Russellville

Tipton won the last time they faced Russellville and things went their way on Monday too. The Tipton Cardinals claimed a resounding 91-41 victory over the Russellville Indians. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tipton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Clara Williams, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Schlotzhauer, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 18 points and seven boards.

Tipton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Tipton's win bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Russellville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Looking ahead, Tipton will venture away from home to face off against Notre Dame de Sion at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Russellville, they are taking a road trip to take on Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
