After two games on the road, Wood Memorial is heading back home. They will take on the Evansville Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Wood Memorial humbled the Patriots with a 66-28 victory.
Meanwhile, Evansville Christian waltzed into their match on Saturday with 12 straight wins but they left with 13. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Christian Academy 52-50. Given Evansville Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Warriors are ranked 110th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wood Memorial pushed their record up to 10-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Evansville Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1.
Wood Memorial couldn't quite finish off the Eagles when the teams last played back in February of 2023 and fell 48-46. Will Wood Memorial have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
