Fresno and Roosevelt are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Warriors will challenge the Rough Riders at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fresno is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Fresno was handed a 11-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 victory over Torres. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since April 23, 2024.
Marissa Delgadillo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Susan Dominguez was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kylee Sanchez was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Roosevelt came up short against Hoover on Friday and fell 9-4.
Arianna Arredondo and Lenna Garcia stepped up to the plate in a big way. Arredondo went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Garcia went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.
Fresno has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-11-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fresno hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .382. However, it's not like Roosevelt struggles in that department as they've averaged .415. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fresno couldn't quite get it done against Roosevelt when the teams last played back in April as they fell 6-3. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
