Mountain View is 3-0 against Middleton since November of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mountain View Mavericks will be playing at home against the Middleton Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Mountain View's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Boise at home and fell 100-17. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mountain View in their matchups with Boise: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Middleton came up short against Blackfoot on Saturday and fell 50-43.
Despite the defeat, Middleton saw an underclassman step up: Zoey Blackwell scored 14 points. The match was Blackwell's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elsie Wyatt, who scored 15 points.
Mountain View bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Middleton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Mountain View didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Middleton in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 46-40 victory.
