Football Recap: Oak Hills Starts Season with Win Against Highland

Oak Hills took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They breezed past Highland to the tune of 35-6. Oak Hills' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Leading Oak Hills to victory were Christopher Martin and Jacob Webster. Martin rushed for 22 yards and two touchdowns, while Webster threw for 137 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards Martin has posted since back in September of 2024.

Oak Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Keyon Yarber and Jayden Dennis.

Oak Hills didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 38-10 win against Bishop Amat on the 28th. As for Highland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 16-6 defeat against Apple Valley on the 29th.
