It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Walsh Eagles can now relate to. They fell 32-22 to Idalia on Friday. Walsh's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Walsh still got an impressive performance from Leyton Jones, who rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns. Jones is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played.
Idalia was led to victory by Tarek Glanz and Gabe Kechter. Glanz rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, while Kechter rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Walsh's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Idalia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Walsh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Idalia will head out on the road to face off against Stratton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Stratton will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
