The team relied heavily on Jayde Morelos, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Sanchez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Centennial was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. They are 15-3 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Piedra Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 21-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Piedra Vista hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Centennial struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
