Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) recorded its 40th win in a row Saturday night in impressive fashion, running away from No. 5
Cedar Hill (Texas) on its home field 44-14.

Biaggio Ali Walsh was the home run hitter for the Gaels in the ESPN-televised showdown, rushing 18 times for 198 yards and three scores.
In addition to a 2-yard TD, Walsh scored on runs of 54 and 58 yards.

After trailing 17-7 at halftime, Cedar Hill was able to close the gap to three at 17-14 midway through the third quarter. But Ali Walsh responded with his 58-yard TD sprint to make it 24-14 and Gorman never looked back.
Quarterback
Tate Martell took over from there with three touchdown runs of his own covering 9, 34 and 49 yards, respectively.
The future Ohio State signal caller finished with 147 yards on the ground and 135 more through the air (10 of 22) despite missing top target Tyjon Lindsey, who is out indefinitely with an injury.
Bishop Gorman's last loss came in early October of 2013. The school's 40-game streak will be tested by teams from three different states in the next three weeks – not to mention a Sept. 30 showdown with preseason No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.). The Gaels have the fourth-longest active win streak in the nation.
The Gaels are in good position to take over the No. 1 ranking in the Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard after losses this week by St Thomas Aquinas and Grayson (Loganville, Ga.).
The Gorman passing game sputtered a bit so quarterback Tate Martell took matters into his own hands with three touchdown runs in the second half.
