The Tyngsborough Tigers will square off against the Clinton Gaels at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
It was a proper cat-fight when Tyngsborough took on Quabbin Regional on Monday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 13-3 win. Considering the Tigers have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Kiley Hogan made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kristin Deschenes, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Kaelyn DiMento, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Tyngsborough kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Clinton was able to grind out a solid victory over Lunenburg on Monday, taking the game 11-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gaels.
Tyngsborough's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Clinton, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Everything went Tyngsborough's way against Clinton when the teams last played on April 2nd, as Tyngsborough made off with a 16-1 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gaels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
