The Eudora Cardinals will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Atchison Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Eudora beat Mill Valley 36-23. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Eudora.
Meanwhile, Atchison was able to grind out a solid win over Tonganoxie on Tuesday, taking the game 41-32. The win was just what Atchison needed coming off of a 71-20 defeat in their prior contest.
Atchison can attribute much of their success to Ma?jia Stoves, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals. Tyeera Heyward was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 7 rebounds.
Eudora's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Atchison, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Eudora couldn't quite finish off Atchison in their previous matchup back in January and fell 44-41. Can Eudora avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
