Softball Recap: Bear River's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to 11

Bear River had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over the Sky View Bobcats. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Luci Roche was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Paycie Richards, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Bear River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sky View only posted an OBP of .360.

Bear River's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Sky View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Bear River wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-0 win against West Field on the 15th. As for Sky View, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-4 defeat against Orem on the 14th.
