Three Rivers recap Oct. 17, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rochester, who took down 205th ranked North Miami, 31-21.
Manchester was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in Three Rivers. The Squires vanquished Northfield 24-14 earlier in the week.
Tippecanoe Valley's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ben Shriver threw for 262 and three touchdowns and Mason Teel had 92 yards receiving. On the ground Justin Gunter chipped in 119 yards. Tanner Andrews helped Tippecanoe Valley's passing attack out by catching three balls for 54 yards.
Tippecanoe Valley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Shriver has thrown for 1384 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Andrews has 35 catches for 694 yards. Gunter leads the league in rushing with 565 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Wabash takes on the Zebras. At the moment, the Apaches are in eighth, while Rochester is in second.
The Vikings led Three Rivers in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Whitko. Shriver in the win.
