The Southwestern Spartans pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The game between Southwestern and Trinity Lutheran wasn't particularly close, with Southwestern falling 72-58. Southwestern can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their four games.
Trinity Lutheran can attribute much of their success to Kowan Gross, who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds. Peyton Pollert was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 9 rebounds.
Southwestern's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Trinity Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
Southwestern will be home for the holidays to greet Waldron at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Trinity Lutheran won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against West Washington at 7:30 p.m. on December 9th.
